Caroline Eliza Biss 1844 - 1864

Caroline Eliza Biss was born in 1844 at Bath, Somerset. She was the third child of George Biss and Mary Biss (nee Bath).

On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. Caroline Eliza Biss was living at 10 Dover Place, Walcot, Bath, Somerset with her mother Mary Biss (nee Bath) and her siblings; Emma Biss, William George Biss and George Biss.

By 1861 Caroline Eliza Biss had moved too London. On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. Caroline was living at 10 Duke Street, Marylebone, Middlesex. She was employed as a Servant to the second of three families that resided at the address. The family were the Hardy's and they consisted of F. E. Hardy, his children Frank Hardy aged 9, Elizabeth Hardy aged 8, Sarah Hardy aged 5, Emily Hardy aged 3 and John Hardy aged 1. There were also two visitors; Anne Balmer and her son Francis Balmer aged 3. They all lived on the second floor. The house consisted of a shop on the ground floor, that was owned by the first family the Mullers who was a Bootmaker and the thrid and final floor was occupied by the Abington family who was a Travelling Agent.

It seems that by 1863 Caroline Eliza Biss had moved back to Somerset and by 1864 had died.
